A Job Application Bot That Reads Your Resume First
Most job bots are macros: they replay clicks against one board and hope the form has not changed. ApplyLoop starts a step earlier — it reads your CV, works out what you should be applying for, and only then goes looking. That ordering is what separates a useful bot from one that floods you with roles you cannot get.
Parsing before applying
Your resume is parsed on the server that serves you — PDF text extraction plus local named-entity recognition through spaCy. No OpenAI key is required, and none is used by default, so your employment history is not shipped to a third-party model.
From the parse comes the thing every other step depends on: your actual years of experience, your titles, and your skills.
Search built from the resume, not from a text box
The bot generates the query set your CV implies — the adjacent titles and skill variants you would not have thought to try — and runs them in parallel across every configured source, streaming results back as they arrive rather than making you wait for the slowest board.
The experience filter
Every posting is checked against your parsed experience before it reaches your queue. Where a listing declares an explicit range, that range wins over the title — a heuristic that reads seniority from job titles alone is wrong often enough to matter, particularly on Indian boards where "Senior Software Engineer" regularly means two years.
How ApplyLoop works
Upload your CV once. ApplyLoop parses it locally — no third-party AI service sees your resume — and pulls out your titles, skills and years of experience.
From that it builds the search queries you would have typed yourself, then runs them across LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, Naukri, Wellfound and the applicant tracking systems that most aggregators never reach: Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, SmartRecruiters and a dozen more. The applying is the last step, and the least interesting one — everything upstream is what decides whether it was worth doing.
Every result is filtered against your actual experience before you see it, so a listing demanding eight years does not land in a fresher's queue. What survives, you apply to — on LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor and Wellfound, ApplyLoop drives the application form itself.
Job Application Bot — frequently asked questions
- Is a job application bot safe to use?
- The risk is not technical, it is relevance: a bot that applies indiscriminately wastes recruiters’ time and yours. Check that any tool filters by your real experience before submitting, and review your queue rather than firing blind.
- Does it need an OpenAI API key?
- No. Resume parsing, query generation and experience filtering all run locally. Every external credential — OpenAI, Adzuna, Reddit, Telegram, proxies — is optional; sources you do not configure are simply skipped.
- Which application forms can it complete?
- LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor and Wellfound have dedicated handlers. Everything else is searched, filtered and handed to you as a direct link to the employer’s own form.
